Using Google Alerts for the Latest on Whatever Interests You

Monitor the Web for the Latest News

Using Google alerts to keep up to date with the latest news on whatever interests is really easy to set up. You can choose the topic and how often you want the emails to come to you. You may need to experiment with the search terms to get the result you are looking for. It doesn’t take long to set up and when  you no longer wish to get a particular alert they are easily cancelled.

You can use them to keep up to date with the latest news in your business, or for personal use for your favorite sporting results.

What Google says about Google Alerts:

Google Alerts are email updates of the latest relevant Google results (web, news, etc.) based on your queries.

Enter a search query you wish to monitor. You will see a preview of the type of results you’ll receive.

Some handy uses of Google Alerts include:

  • monitoring a developing news story
  • keeping current on a competitor or industry
  • getting the latest on a celebrity or event
  • keeping tabs on your favorite sports teams

You may want to set up an alert on results from your  favorite sporting team, an artist or writer you are interested in, music or whatever interests you.
